You still get to keep the headphone jack and you only get a bottom firing mono speaker which is okay. That’s expected for this price point.
Display
Display wise, you get a 1080p LCD display which looks vibrant with a center hole punch style for a selfie camera. As an upgrade from last year’s Spark 9 Pro, we get a 90 Hz screen refresh rate which makes for a much smoother UI experience.
However, you’ll need to enable it as it’s set to automatically switch by default. The software on the Spark 10 Pro is HiOS as expected but this time with Android 13 and its HiOS version 12.6.
It’s mostly still the typical HiOS experience with some visual changes and some more optimization. But as expected, with Tecno software at this price point, you still get a ton of pre-installed apps and ads that come from some of these apps.
Of course, with a few clicks here and there, you can disable or block these ads for a cleaner experience. It is powered by the MediaTek G88 which is a gaming optimized processor and you could say a slight upgrade from the G85 on its predecessor.
With 8GB of RAM alongside that, you can expect a good multitasking experience here with barely any struggles. If you decide to game with it, the Spark 10 Pro can handle it, though not at the highest settings, of course, that’s not expected for this price point.
But it can handle long gaming sessions with no abnormal heating concerns. You can play the likes of Apex Legends at medium settings and get consistent frame rates.
Battery
Battery life on the Spark 10 Pro is solid at 5000mAh and you can charge it at 18W with the adapter that comes in the box. The battery can last for at least 12 hours after fully charged which is a plus for active internet users.
Camera
One of the most marketed features of the Spark 10 Pro is its clear selfie camera which is 32MP, the same as we got with the Spark 9 Pro.
Its rear camera is a dual setup, the third bump is for its flash. It’s really just a 50MP main sensor. The HDR processing and color representation from the rear camera is good.
Selfies also look good with HDR on point. You will get great results under the right lighting conditions. The cameras can also shoot videos up to 2K at 30fps, with no stabilization.
You get the option to enable HDR when shooting videos but with that enabled, you can only shoot at 1080p 30fps. No HDR when recording at 2K.
